Litigation Attorney
About the Job
McKenna Russo is seeking a litigation attorney to join our growing civil litigation practice. We represent individuals and businesses in a broad range of civil matters, with a particular emphasis on real estate title disputes. Our litigation team is known for providing strategic, practical, and client-focused representation while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and working directly with clients from the initial consultation through trial or resolution. The ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled legal counsel and manage civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other legal filings
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
- Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials
- Manage all aspects of discovery, including document review and witness preparation
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and expectations
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex litigation matters
- Handle confidential client matters with professionalism and discretion
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Maryland Bar in good standing
- Active membership in the District of Columbia and Virginia Bar preferred
- 3–7 years of civil litigation experience with portable book of business preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities
- Experience managing cases independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Work Arrangement / Location
- Location: Annapolis, Maryland
- Schedule: Full-time
- Work Arrangement: On-site with flexibility for partial remote work
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000
